Project: Spatial tumor heterogeneity and microenvironment composition as key features of newly discovered molecular subtypes of skull base chordomas

Award: $275K

Description: This project aims to better understand the complexity of chordoma tumors located at the skull base by investigating how different subtypes of these tumors differ in cell composition and behavior. This research will look at the interaction between cancer cells, immune cells, and the surrounding tissue to understand how these elements contribute to the tumor’s growth and resistance to treatment. By uncovering the complexities of skull base chordoma, the project could lead to the identification of new biomarkers that can guide more personalized treatment strategies for chordoma patients.
